What is the ideal place to place a wardrobe in a room?

The wardrobe is one of the most important pieces of furniture in a room. Well chosen and well placed, it is an integral part of the decoration. A large part of your clothes are likely to be placed in this piece of furniture. It is therefore important to choose a quality, durable wardrobe to keep your clothes in good condition.

Keep in mind that the bed is the centerpiece of the sleeping space. It is after you have chosen the right location for your cozy nest that you will place your storage cabinet in the room.

Arrange a solid wood wardrobe in front of your bed

The solid wood wardrobe at the foot of the bed is a classic configuration, but effective, because it allows to free up space on both sides of the bed. It could be accompanied by a chest of drawers, open wall shelves, or even a bench, if you need an extra storage unit to add a few things. This arrangement is best for large closets.

However, pay attention to the space between the wardrobe and the bed. It is necessary to keep 60 cm for a fluid circulation, and so that the doors can open correctly. Avoid placing your storage wardrobe next to the window, as it may absorb all the light in the room. If your room has a built-in compartment for your closet, that's even better! You'll have more room to move around freely.

Install a wardrobe next to your bed

For a minimalist decor, installing your wardrobe next to your bedside table is perfect! Consider this arrangement if space allows.

When you enter your room, it's one of the first pieces of furniture you'll see. Make sure you don't choose a cabinet that is too bulky so that you have enough space between each piece of furniture to make it more airy. Go for a minimalist, compact piece of furniture in a bright color. This will brighten up the bedroom. The wardrobe IRENE  in solid wood would be ideal for this configuration.

Placed here, you will have easy access to your wardrobe to change your clothes when you get out of bed or if you need a warm pair of socks to get you through the night.

Be sure to choose a closet with multiple compartments: drawers, shelves, closet. The closet doesn't need to be too high. If your room is not large, you can also choose a corner wardrobe, which is a real space saver!

Place a wardrobe near the entrance of your room

This configuration is ideal for small spaces. It allows for easy access to your wardrobe, without cluttering up your sleeping space. Conveniently located, you won't have to cross your room to grab a sweater or scarf right before you leave if you're in a hurry. The wardrobe located near the entrance of his room allows for good circulation, and in this location, the storage unit will not block the light that will enter your room.

This configuration allows you to add a chest of drawers under the window if you need more space to store your accessories, such as scarves or hats. If space allows, you can also place a free-standing mirror next to your solid wood closet for one last look at yourself before you leave.
